Using this website
Most of the resources created through MushroomLink and outputs from projects funded through the mushroom research and development levy are hosted on this site. The resources have been grouped according to type (webinars, factsheets, magazines etc) and by topic.
How is MushroomLink different to the AMGA
MushroomLink is focused on delivering practical, research-based information and resources tailored to the needs of mushroom growers and the broader mushroom industry, and acts as an avenue to communicate outcomes and outputs from mushroom-levy funded projects.
The Australian Mushroom Growers Association (AMGA) serves as the official representative body for mushroom producers, focusing on advocacy, industry representation, and broader policy issues.
The two organisations complement each other, with MushroomLink acting as a resource hub for applied knowledge, while AMGA focuses on industry-wide issues and advocacy.
Overview of all mushroom R&D levy projects
The Hort Innovation Mushroom Levy projects are industry-driven initiatives funded through levies paid by Australian mushroom growers. These projects are managed by Hort Innovation and focus on key areas such as improving mushroom production, enhancing food safety, increasing market demand, and addressing challenges through research and development. By investing in areas like pest and disease control, consumer education, and innovative technologies, these projects aim to strengthen the mushroom industry's competitiveness and sustainability while delivering practical benefits to growers across Australia.
